2013 Cloud Security Symposium & National Conversation

On February 19, 2013, the GCSC,in conjunction with the Homeland Security & Defense Business Council and the Civitas Group, hosted a symposium on THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT & CLOUD COMPUTING, Addressing the Challenges and Resolving the Tensions Between Security and Efficiency in the Evolving Enterprise. This half-day symposium provided a forum in which subject matter experts from industry and government could engage in a dialogue that brought their diverse perspectives to the discussion around the security of cloud computing in the federal government. The event included panel discussions on myth-busting and misconceptions, current cloud security practices and future use, and a capstone discussion on the unresolved security issues affecting implementation.

The result of the symposium was an after-action summary report, which you can download from here.
